As part of the Citizens of a Regenerative Society series, in this first presentation David Schofield brings us a perspective on a major shift that is required if we are to create a more peaceful, harmonious and ultimately regenerative society.
One huge issue our society is facing is the lack of direction, guidance and wisdom to help us deal with our personal challenges and come together to not only seek to resolve bigger societal challenges, but even to deal with the interpersonal difficulties that impact us daily.
But it’ll require us to reinstate a role that our society has diminished almost out-of-sight. That of the Elder. The wise centre of the community, whose life experience enables them to provide a life map for individuals to find their way to sovereignty, whilst ensuring we can all get along effectively.
Becoming an Elder is the task we all (no matter our age) must step up to if we’re to provide the solid bedrock that our families, communities and society must stand on.
In this sessions, David shares one approach to how we may achieve this.
