Groups: a force for good?

  • TopicGroups: a force for good?

Part of the Citizens of a Regenerative Society series

In this interactive session, Simon will lead a discussion about the potential benefits and dangers of operating within groups – be they small for social, business or other purposes, or organisations encompassing a membership of thousands or more, operating as a hierarchy or cluster of smaller organisations. Expect to be challenged over your perspectives of some well known but widely misunderstood organisations. The overall theme will be about harnessing the benefits of multiple perspectives so that the whole becomes greater than the sum of the parts, maintaining personal integrity and sovereignty whilst recognising where some compromise may be appropriate, and avoiding the dangers of complacency and group think.

I’ve spent many years in both public- and private- sector corporate worlds – an engineer by background although the majority of my time was spent leading major aerospace infrastructure and/or business change programmes nationally and internationally.
