What we mean by

Regenerative Citizens

These are individuals who take full responsibility for themselves and follow their conscience, developing themselves in four key areas of life. These areas are Physical, Emotional, Mental and Spiritual, in that order. If you don’t like the term spiritual, keep reading - you likely relate to what I’m speaking of in a different way.

Physical

Physical health includes our body working well, but also having strong finances, stable housing and access to necessary transport. Lack of physical health is illness, lethargy, insecurity and geographic limitation.

Emotional

Emotional health comes from loving, accepting, committed relationships that are mutually-beneficial. Lack of emotional health looks like bad influences, pressure to be more like another, discouragement from growth.

Mental

Mental health comes from having skills and experience that demonstrate competence and build-self-worth. Lack of mental health looks like anguish, self-doubt, indiscipline and discouragement.

Spiritual

Spiritual health comes from a life dedicated to service, bringing a great sense of meaning, fulfilment and an unrivalled commitment to life. Lack of spiritual health looks like emptiness, nihilism and withdrawal from life.

Conscience

Citizens of the regenerative society choose to regenerate – as opposed to degenerate – in every moment. At each choice point – ranging from what to eat and what to say, to what business deal to make – we know what the right and wrong choices are.

There is a sense of what is right. Although different parts of us may challenge that sense of “rightness” we still know what is right. It may be the least comfortable, easy or satisfying choice, yet it is the choice we know should be made.

Making more choices toward what’s right/ healthy/ creative/ regenerative is how we ensure the overall movement of society is toward regeneration.

The more people do this, the more regeneration occurs, which ripples out to our environment directly – through the changes we make to the material world – and indirectly – as we influence those around us.

Purpose

The learning that comes from fully developing the four areas of life reveals to us a unique function that we can serve in the world. Such a function – or purpose – will never have been seen before, nor will it ever be seen again.

It is entirely unique, which belies a truth about you – that you are as unique as your appearance. Until you know what your unique life purpose is, it is your job to discover it, as demonstrated above.

The more developed each individual becomes, the more capable they become of co-operating with others, forming communities that can serve a unique purpose – regenerative communities.

Want to become a regenerative citizen?

There is not only one approach to creating a better world, but billions – we all have a unique purpose to fulfill within the greater eco-system of humankind. If we fail to perform our role successfully, the whole operation is compromised – like an organism missing a key enzyme.

So, will you step up to the plate in order to meet this awesome challenge? Will you become the person you were born to be? Or will you hide away – chasing fantasies, feeding addictions and opting out?

The former path is certainly the tougher of the two – but you don't have to go it alone. Here at Fourthguides we can provide you with support and inspiration to develop yourself personally and professionally – so that you may step into the space within society that is uniquely yours.

Our guides have a tremendous breadth of experience covering an ever-expanding terrain of knowledge. We provide one-to-one support in life and business and meet several times per year in person to support you in making the personal and professional shifts needed to contribute toward the creation of the regenerative society.
